Closed to minors
French law prohibits any participation by minors in sports betting. Licensed operators verify identity and age before any withdrawal, and refuse access to anyone under 18.
Warning signs
Staking larger and larger amounts to feel the same interest. Trying to win back a loss immediately. Borrowing in order to stake. Lying to those around you about your stakes. Neglecting work, family or sleep.
A single one of these signs is reason enough to pause and talk to someone.
Tools available to you
Deposit moderator: a cap you set on amounts deposited.
Stake moderator: a cap on amounts staked.
Temporary self-exclusion with an operator.
National voluntary exclusion: three years, applying to every operator licensed in France, not revocable before it expires.
All of these are reachable from the operator’s account area or, for voluntary exclusion, through the ANJ.
